The Coordinating Center is pleased to announce the appointments of Vanessa Briggs, Joseph Machicote and Martha Riva, Esq., to its Board of Directors.

Vanessa Briggs of Silver Spring is the Vice President of Community Health at Holy Cross Hospital. Ms. Briggs has over 15 years of experience leading a health service division, community health initiatives, business development and partnerships in for-profit and non-profit health care markets and public health sector. Ms. Briggs earned a Bachelor’s of Art in Home Economics Dietetics from Rowan University and a Masters of Business Administration from Eastern University.

Joseph Machicote of Baltimore is the Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Erickson Living. Mr. Machicote has over 30 years of experience in management and human resources. Mr. Machicote earned a Bachelor’s Art in Business Marketing from Manhattanville College.

Martha Riva, Esq. of North Bethesda is the former Senior Vice President of Governance at Bon Secours Health System, Inc. Ms. Riva has over 30 years of legal and governance experience. Ms. Riva earned a Bachelor’s of Art in Speech Pathology and Audiology from the University of Maryland College Park, a Masters of Art in Speech Pathology and Audiology from The George Washington University and a Doctor of Law from Georgetown University.

The Coordinating Center’s board members serve a three-year term.
