Millersville, Maryland – The Coordinating Center is excited to announce Teresa Titus-Howard, PhD, MHA, MSW, CCM, President and CEO, The Coordinating Center has been selected to serve on Maryland’s Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) Waiver Advisory Council. The purpose of the Council is to create meaningful engagement and a feedback loop with all interested stakeholders, with a focus on people with lived experiences. Members have the opportunity to advise and provide recommendations to the DDA on system design, service delivery, and quality enhancement strategies for the DDA-operated Medicaid waiver programs.
Dr. Teresa Titus-Howard, recognized as one of Maryland’s Most Admired CEOs by The Daily Record in 2022 and 2024, brings more than three decades of diverse clinical, leadership, and management experience in healthcare to this role. She possesses expertise in healthcare policy, performance measurement, provider settings, payer organizations, public-private partnerships, and person-centered care.
After becoming CEO in 2019, Dr. Titus-Howard quickly took bold steps to enhance services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. In 2020, she launched The Center’s Coordination of Community Services program for the DDA, and under her visionary leadership, it has grown significantly. Today, The Center serves over 600 individuals across three regions – Central, Southern, and Eastern, Maryland.
