The Developmental Disabilities Administration offers the  Community Pathways Waiver that is designed to help participants live more independently in their home and community. This waiver offers a wide variety of services to promote community living, such as Employment, Meaningful Day, Support Services, and Residential Services. Â
All participants in DDA services have the right to select the service model that is best for them. Participants can select from two service models:
- Self-Directed Service Model – Provides the individual with maximum choice and control over how their Medicaid approved waiver services are delivered, when, where, and the rate of payment.Â
- Provider-Managed Model – Provides the individual with access to support and care for Medicaid approved waiver services overseen by licensed or certified provider agencies. These agencies are licensed or certified by the DDA.Â
